个人简介:2006年获计算机应用技术博士学位,2009年于南京理工大学模式识别与智能系统博士后流动站出站。中国人工智能学会智能数字内容安全专业委员会委员,四川省学术技术带头人后备人选。2005年公派至美国访学一年。主要研究领域为事图形图像内容分析与理解、图形图像智能工程。以主研人员身份参研国家自然科学基金项目、省科技攻关项目、部级科研项目近10项。

承担部分科研项目:

1.2011年度校中青年学术带头人科研基金项目(J201105),成都信息工程学院, 2012.03-2014.12,主持。

   2.基于脑认知模型的视频内容分析与理解技术研究(09ZA155),四川省教育厅重点项目,项目负责人。

3.视频高层语义分析与理论技术研究(2006B063), 四川省教育厅青年基金项目,项目负责人。

Dr. Wei received the PhD degree in Computer Application Technology from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST) in 2006. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Chengdu University of Information Technology. Dr. Wei was a visiting scholar in the United States of America in 2015.

Dr. Wei's main research area is the content analysis and understanding for video and image. This includes theoretical foundations, the development of new models and algorithms and applications.

Visual Recognition Computing. Since 2009 Dr. Wei has been working on the use of visual attentional control mechanisms and visual recognition mechanisms for scene semantic understanding. It includes computational model, stimulus-driven and goal-driven control stratage and application of visual saliency.

Pattern Classification & Recognition. Intelligent classifiers based on artificial intelligence and machine learning methods are used to understand the content of video.
